Gel False Nail
UV gel nails don’t last – any ideas?
I was bought a Rio UV gel nails kit for my birthday which was really exciting cos i’m quite into all of that.
I have had loads of false nails using uv gel done professionally and the kit looked pretty good so was quite confident that i would be able to get good results. However, there seems to be a problem with the uv gel….it is really really thick and hard to apply, it takes forever to set under the lamp and my nails only last for approx 2 days – which is not long enough after spending so much time applying them. Other problem i have is that they are not pre-blended tips so there is always quite an obvious line where they have been applied – i try to file them down but worry that i’ll file too much and weaken the bond.
Any tips on applying these nails? Can i heat the gel up to make it a bit easier to apply? How can i ensure the nails are blended properly?
my sister dips her brush in Astone nail polish remover(any drug store)
* dip the tip only in. do not over do it. if you think you put too much lightly run it across a napkin.
then apply the gel.
Makes it easy-er to shape, but takes longer to dry. by 15 mins or so.
